Job description

A leading R&D organisation in the business of developing complex electro-mechanical product for satellite and defence industries are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer - Enclosures to join their site in Swindon, Wiltshire.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer - Enclosures within the business you will get the opportunity to work on 3D CAD designs, using SolidWorks, for electro-mechanical enclosures. This will involve electronic enclosure design using sheet metal and plastic injection moulding techniques.


Skills / Experience required:
> A strong background in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks or a similar CAD package.
> Experience in designing electronic enclosures / packaging electronics.
> Exposure to sheet metal and injection moulding.
> Exposure to working on the design of product for harsh environments would be beneficial but not essential.
