This vacancy is with a global technology company.
My client design and manufacture complex, high value, low volume electronic products that are used all over the world.
They currently require a Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics, to join their manufacturing team. They have around 120 staff on site currently, with 85 currently in the manufacturing department.
You must be degree educated and have a strong background in manufacturing for mechatronic products.
The Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics to join our busy team of 7 multidiscipline engineers providing the manufacturing support to the line, and deliver NPI in line with the projected growth of the site.
You will be assigned a primary instrument or group of products and be responsible to understand the products, build and test requirements, process flow and systems.
The role demands an engineer to be creative, analytical, familiar with manufacturing processes and have good CAD skills.
Skills and experience required for the Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics:
- BSc, MSc in Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or related STEM degree subject) is MANDATORY.
- Good grounding in Chemistry and Physics with a high level of understanding of optical systems.
- Understanding and practice of Six Sigma methodologies
- ‘Agile' or other project management skill is also MANDATORY.
- Understanding of and experience in the environments and requirements for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing of technical assemblies.
