Are you a Degree Qualified Manufacturing Engineer based in or around Hampshire?

If so, a position has become available this week for a long-standing client of mine based on the South Coast in Hampshire.

My client is an ambitious, privately owned technology product group of companies. The group has embarked on a growth plan, involving significant investment and continuous improvement. It has a reputation as a world leader in its field as a designer and manufacturer of high-quality sensors. They are looking for a candidate to join their Manufacturing Engineering team to streamline the growth of their upcoming and existing products.

Ideal candidates for this Hampshire based Manufacturing Engineer role will have a Manufacturing or Engineering related degree, and will have a strong history in the production of electronic products. You will also have experience working closely with a design team and be capable of leading and motivating Cross-Functional teams.

Main responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics, will include:
- Economically improve the manufacturing efficiency and efficacy through development of production processes, business systems, and recommendations for product changes.
- Support the R&D team in the development of new products so they are economic to manufacture.
- Design and document processes to facilitate the efficient manufacture of new products.
- Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
- Lead and work on projects with multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective delivery of goals.

Requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer - Electronics, will include:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in production engineering, electronics, or mechanical field.
- Several years of professional experience in a modern electronics, software and mechanical device manufacturing environment.
- Certification and experience in process improvement, at least a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma (project management and CAD experience beneficial).
- Strong problem solving skills; able to diagnose and solve any issue within the domain of manufacturing engineering.
- Capable of working with design teams to apply modern manufacturing principles to new product designs.
