Job description

Lead Electronic Engineer to act as a technical lead for a global leader that design, develop and manufacture advanced intelligent drive and sensor positioning systems for applications where extremely fine control of complex electro-mechanical equipment is essential. This includes, commercial broadcast, security and professional AV applications.

This role is more than just another development job, it's a really interesting position, where you will be joining an established mixed discipline research and development team, where you will be modelling, designing and developing complex solutions.

You will create innovative methods of control and be responsible for identifying IP opportunities arising from your work.

The Lead Electronic Engineer is Woking, Surrey based and you will be required to join their small team working on the development of their products and to take on the management of R&D projects.
The Lead Electronic Engineer will be based in Woking, Surrey, but commutable from Epsom, Dorking, Sutton and Kingston.
They are a globally successful business that work in a range of industries and this would be a great opportunity for a design engineer that enjoys managing technical projects.

The job will be a broad position involving a range of analogue and digital circuit design work. The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a small team, or for a small company, where they've had to work to deadlines and had some experience of interfacing with customers.

Key Responsibilities for the Lead Electronic Engineer job:
- Analogue & digital design experience
- Taking design projects from concept to manufacture
- Design complex electronic solution encompassing electro-mechanical motion based products.
- Appreciation of project times lines and deadlines
- Develop sound business relationships with both internal and external customers

The Lead Electronic Engineer job will have:
- A strong background in electronic design, encompassing analogue and digital circuit design
- Drive and ambition as well as good communication skills
- Used to project timelines / deadlines.
- Mechatronics experience, ideally with CCTV.
