My client is a market leader in Point to Multi-Point microwave telecommunications (systems) starting development of a new generation of multi-point microwave product. They are now looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Digital / Analogue.

You will have a significant role in the design and development of electronics for new projects while maintaining existing hardware designs. Being responsible for key technical elements of projects, including, design, documentation and implementation.

Major Responsibilities and Tasks of the Lead Electronic Design Engineer - Digital / Analogue will include:

- Collaborate across the company to assist in the definition of product concept and function
- Work closely with Design Engineers and Project Management to ensure a full comprehension of product specification, electronic requirements, product development priorities and time scales
- Undertake other wide-ranging design work outside of own area of expertise as required
- Work with and mentor other team members as needed and work with stakeholders outside of the team

Essential Competencies of the Lead Electronic Design Engineer - Digital / Analogue:
- Experience of leading the design effort on brand new products. Taking the design from concept to manufacture. Whilst being the technical lead with other electronic design engineers on the project.
- Component selection(including approvals and supply chain requirements)/schematic-capture/PCB layout/PLM BoM management etc. That ensures a quality design from concept through to volume manufacture
- Experience of high-speed/high-frequency PCB design, and management of PCB layout
- Ability to architect electronic solutions to product requirements, to include electronic interfaces, signal/data processing, power subsystems etc.

Desirable Competencies of the Lead Electronic Design Engineer - Digital / Analogue:
- Radio and/telecommunications product development
- Greenfield development experience
- Experience of team management
