Job description

A world-leading company operating in the capital equipment arena for sectors such as the semiconductor industry is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage a number of specific strategic accounts.

The Key Account Manager will be home-based in either the South West, South East, and/or West Midlands and will be responsible for a small number of defined customers. The role is to plan sales activity, develop short and long-term objectives, strategy, and tactics to meet objectives, and manage product and service sales in specific existing accounts.

Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager job:
> Manages all sales related facets.
> Develop trust and strategic relationships with an aligned sales process.
> Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
> Expand the relationships by proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
> Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
> Drives growth to achieve revenue while continually enhancing the level of customer satisfaction delivered to semiconductor end users customers.
> Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
> Play an integral part in generating new sales via a consultative methodology.
> Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
> Assist marketing in the implementation of the road-map and plan.

Candidate Requirements
> Ideally degree qualified- preferably in a technical discipline.
> Preferably experience in the Semiconductor or Vacuum industry.
> A demonstrable track record of sales and growth management.
> A background of account management and capital equipment, instrumentation or machinery
> Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
> Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels.
> Excellent organisational skills.
> Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
> Experience of Salesforce would be beneficial
