Junior Project Manager - Engineering

Job description

My client designs a range of electronic instrumentation equipment used to test a variety of materials, Due to expansion and new projects coming online during lock down they now require a Junior Project Manager - Engineering to join the team.

They are a small company, so the projects are not large. They are also open to less experienced “Project Engineer” candidates who have some commercial experience of projects and want to grow into a bigger Project Management role.

Responsibilities of the Junior Project Manager - Engineering position is:
- You will be responsible for leading the successful planning, execution, and closure of cross-functional projects for the company.
- You will regularly report to the Management team on project progress, risks, and forecasting demands.
- You will be required to plan and schedule multiple projects and resources ensuring delivery of projects on time, to scope and within budget.
- Track project performance and provide project plans and updates.

Previous experience needed for the role of Junior Project Manager - Engineering are:
- Educated to degree level in a STEM subject
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to scope and within budget
- Experience of seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Good knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
