An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Junior Buyer to join a globally recognised organisation involved within the exciting technology sector of battery and power supplies, based at their site in Crewkerne, Somerset.
Due to continued growth my client in Crewkerne, Somerset are seeking a Junior Buyer to assist with the purchasing of items to support the production team.
Duties of the Junior Buyer job include:
> Creating and maintaining new and existing supplier relationships to ensure excellent collaboration.
> Raising purchase orders from the MRP and from requisition forms ensuring delivery of items to agreed quality standards in a timely fashion.
> Obtaining quotations and updating the ERP system.
> Ensuring excellent communication and relationships with other internal departments.
> Seeking new suppliers and building new relationships.
Key skills and experience for the Junior Buyer job are:
> Previous experience working within a purchasing department is essential.
> Knowledge of a ERP system is an advantage but full training will be provided.
> Excellent communication skills needed to communicate to multiple stakeholders.
> Proficient in using Microsoft office packages.
