Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Health & Safety Officer based in North Wales to join this global organisation that designs and manufactures advanced optical systems for defence & aerospace, medical & life sciences and industrial manufacturing applications.

Due to continued growth they are seeking an Health & Safety Officer to join their dynamic team where they will provide a safe workplace environment, without risk to health, and ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are updated, monitored, measured and achieved.

The successful candidate for the Health & Safety Officer will investigate and record incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health, prepare and carry out internal and external audits for existing and new accreditations, including ISO9001:2015, carry out risk assessments (COSHH, PUWER, DSEAR etc) and site inspections, identifying potential hazards and recommending mitigating actions, review/update health and safety policies and procedures and implement and update safe operational practices.

The successful candidate will have 2/3 years experience of working in a health and safety role and their NEBOSH qualification. It is also desirable to have a Degree/HNC and IOSH qualification.
