Hardware Design Engineer - High speed digital, Analogue, prototype and reference board development , AR / VR / Graphics, Cambridge to £ 55K 'ish + excellent benefits and facilities

As the result of massive interest in their products (for example in the VR/AR world) this world leading networking / graphics technology company require additional Hardware Design Engineers to develop prototype boards and to work on a range of products and reference designs for use by OEMs and partner companies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a world class Hardware Design team, designing and implementing innovative products which combine cutting edge video, graphics and low latency networking IP. The company are a very successful, highly profitable Software and Chip company who own the very lucrative technology space that they work in. They are rapidly expanding, building their complex IP into new, world leading Graphics, Video / AR / VR products. They are developing exciting, working, world leading technology technology where their competitors are visibly failing. As a result of this success, they are looking for a number of skilled Hardware Design Engineers to work on new concepts, technologies and products.

They have an awful lot of work on, focusing on new AR and VR products which utilise their IP, having achieved significant technology and design wins with industry giants.

A key part of your job will be to design reference boards for use by OEMs and partner companies.

You'll also test and debug interfaces such as USB3, Ethernet, HDMI and DDR2 and validate both board designs and silicon.

You will need a background in -

> General and high speed digital and analogue electronics design

> Prototype and reference board design

> Ideally, complex board design for low latency or video / graphics applications

To excel in this Hardware Design job you will need a strong background in general and high speed digital and analogue electronics design, ideally with a good working knowledge of video, networking and bus interfaces.
