Are you looking for an Graduate Software Engineer - Embedded role with an established and expanding electro-optics specialist? Our client, based in Horsham, West Sussex, are seeking a bright graduate to work on the development of cutting-edge products that are sold into naval, land and security sectors.
The key responsibilities for this Graduate Software Engineer - Embedded position will be to:
- Develop embedded software including concept design, requirements definition, detailed design and coding
- Working with Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics engineers as part of a team to ensure project success
- Produce and maintain related supporting documentations
- Understand the Customer's technical needs and concept of operations and feed this into wider project requirements
- Work with the Project Manager, Technical Authority and Quality team as required to identify risks, issues, solutions and opportunities
The successful Graduate Software Engineer - Embedded will have:
- A strong degree in a related discipline
- An understanding of embedded software design and appreciation of associated hardware
- Experience of writing C/C++ for embedded applications and 16-bit / 32-bit microcontrollers (preferable)
- Communications such as Ethernet (preferable)
- Hardware interfacing (preferable)

Therefore, if successful, you will need to provide proof of identity, employment history and right to work in the UK, along with proof of UK residency for at least five years.
