Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate PCB Design Engineer based in Livingston to join this global product design consultancy.

They are a global industry leader in the design, development and manufacture of cutting edge electronics technology for a range of international customers covering medical, industrial, communication and defence products. They are investing heavily into the UK, both in R&D and manufacturing and are very open to taking on a graduate / junior level design engineer for this role and providing the required training.

My client can offer you the chance to work with a team of incredibly bright engineers, who last year designed(from concept) a Stem Cell Automation machine that converts cells from a person's liver into stem cells that can then be used to grow new organs or replace nerves that will allow people to walk again. There was allot of incredibly complex Electronics and PCB design involved in this project and this was just one of the many diverse projects they completed last year.

You will join a global PCB team where you will be responsible for designing PCB layouts for complex multilayer, high speed digital, RF and analogue PCBs. The successful Graduate PCB Design Engineer - Edinburgh will be provided with industry leading training and will have the opportunity to explore other areas within electronics design within the company.

The European flagship R&D facility is commutable from Edinburgh, Livingston, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Glasgow. They also offer relocation assistance for people in the UK and have a very diverse team from all corners of the globe.

Key skills required for the Graduate PCB Design Engineer job:
- Academic / industrial experience of PCB design
- Experience of design tools i.E. PADS, Mentor, Altium etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Candidates will ideally be qualified to a degree level in a related discipline or have equivalent industry experience and be eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
