Job description

A world leader in the design and manufacture of electronic systems for the chemical industry is seeking a Global Trade Process Manager, to join then their Headquarters & Global Technology Centre in Burgess Hill site. The company are a major global leading engineering company who are part of a business worth over £10 billion. They develop complex, high value, high speed machinery which is used in the manufacture of semiconductors.

Some of the key accountabilities for this exciting opportunity for the Global Trade Process Manager, Burgess Hill will be to ensure import and export regulatory compliance processes are maintained in for the VT Business Area globally, to have overall management responsibility for global trade processes globally, to create a knowledge center for the day to day Trade policy and compliance issues, to develop and deploy Trade regulatory compliance policy and to ensure procedures are in place, to ensure VT's compliance with regional/global licensing regulations covering all products that may be subject to Export Control and to develop the processes, procedures and systems to ensure/support ongoing compliance and effective information flow.

Some of the other main responsibilities of the Global Trade Process Manager, Burgess Hill will be to develop and manage effective relationships with Government agencies involved in Trade compliance, to manage import & export Classification process globally, to manage End Consignee Statement process globally and also to manage supplier origin declarations globally.

The Global Trade Process Manager, Burgess Hill will ideally have Bachelors degree in International Business/Logistics/Supply Chain, have ten years of International Trade compliance experience preferably gained within a blue chip organisation, International Trade consultancy or within Foreign Trade regulatory authority. This is to include sound knowledge of the US EAR, AP Export Controls, AP Customs Regulations and best practices in International Trade, have experience in development and deployment of compliance policy, processes and procedures and also have knowledge of how International Trade compliance fits with modern global operations and supply chain management.
