A global leading organisation is seeking a passionate and experienced leader within Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering to extend their knowledge and expertise.

As the General Manager your role will be to lead, consult and support all operations and management across all areas within the Business including Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, HR functions, Quality and Finances, ensuring a strong and consistent message on a global scale.

This global leading manufacturer of medium volume, high variety, light assembly operations is looking for an experienced and proven individual with significant leadership qualities to help drive an excellent level of standards and encourage an environment of continuous improvement to our clients businesses.

The ideal candidate for this General Manager position will be someone with a passion to succeed, with an agile mind-set, able to operate at global level.

We are looking for an experienced and professional individual who is excited by technology and innovation, who will always put the customers first.

As the General Manager you will lead a team of fast-moving, dedicated, passionate and technical professionals focused on innovation and delivering results. Direct reports will include Site Service Manager, Production Manager, Customer Service Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager and Supply Chain Manager.

You will leverage your expertise in management and leadership experience, working closely with the Global Operations Director, Suppliers and Customers to act as the professional interface for the site in Luton.

Key requirements for the General Manager Job will include:

> Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/ Industrial Engineering.
> Ability to focus on the customer and drive customer service thorough out the business.
> Experience of operations management with significant cost centre accountability with demonstrable history of year on year cost productivity and margin improvement.
> Proven leadership and management skills across a variety of departments and levels including; Continuous Improvement, Production, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service and HR management.
> Experience within a medium volume, high variety, and light assembly operations preferably within the electrical sector, although other industries such as Automotive, Medical, Defence or Aerospace will be considered.
