Job description

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for an FPGA Design Engineer - VHDL with a world renowned company based in the Midlands area. My client provides innovative, high-technology power conversion and control solutions for a range of industries.

The job is easily commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Lichfield, Derby, Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent.

The FPGA Design Engineer - VHDL will be involved in FPGA design for electrical power conversion, control products and low voltage sub-systems for naval vessels. You will be responsible for a wide range of FPGA activities covering all stages of the development lifecycle; from requirements through to verification and validation of programmed devices. It will involve FPGA implementation including requirements capture, VHDL RTL coding and physical stages.

Key skills required for the FPGA Engineer - VHDL job:
> A proven track record of FPGA/ASIC design and working to formal design processes
> Solid knowledge of VHDL with practical experience in successful projects
> Experience of Matlab / Simulink would be beneficial

Due to the nature of my companies industry you will need to be able to obtain full UK SC security clearance. You must hold a British passport and have been in the UK for 5+ years.
