Job description

A technology company in Basingstoke who are going through a rapid expansion process at present are seeking a hands on Finance Manager, who will report directly into the CEO and manager all areas of the Finance function of the business.

This Finance Manager opportunity, will allow the individual to make the finance function their own and also bring with it the opportunity of adding to the team.

If you are a hands on Finance Manager, this role will suit you down to the ground, as you will not only cover the Financial and Management accounts, but also the transactional side of accounts. The only area you won't directly be responsible for is the Payroll, which is outsourced to the Accounting firm this company use.

The company culture is fantastic. They have an open planned office which is at present also expanding and the company go out for meals, including during work hours which builds strong relationships away from work and most recently the company went Go Karting, which apparently got very competitive!

> Processing all areas of transactional accounting through Sage Line 50
> Preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
> Cash flow management and daily bank reconciliations
> Annual Budget preparation and monthly re-forecasts, maintaining financial models within MS Excel
> Offering thorough financial analysis to support the business in key areas
> Produce data up to trial balance for external accountants;
> Implement strong financial controls and ensure systems are in place for the business as it expands
> Process all documentation relating to import and export
> Report all EC sales listings, VAT and EMI returns to HMRC
> Controlling administration related to company pensions
> Credit card expense processing
> Stock valuation, revenue recognition and order book close.
> Manage the external payroll function with the local accounting firm
> Responsible for the Credit Control
