Are you a Field Service Engineer with experience in Fire & Gas Detection equipment?
My clients are looking for a Field Service Engineer - Fire & Gas Detection to join their ever growing team.
They are a manufacturer of gas detection equipment with a turnover of over £20 Million, they have a wealth of industry experience across the utilities, oil and gas, marine, nuclear and brewing markets and offer a wide range of innovative gas and flame detection solutions.
The products are sold through a world class system of knowledgeable distributors, manufacturers' representatives and sales subsidiaries.
The territory for the role is mainly within the South West Region of the UK , and applicants must be prepared to travel within this area.
Responsibilities for the Field Service Engineer - Fire & Gas Detection
To service, repair and commission GMI fixed gas detection systems within the defined territory.
- To provide daily service, repair and commissioning labour. Specifically to:
- Plan and undertake routine service calls within defined territory, maximising productive time and service revenue and allowing sufficient time to respond to emergency call outs.
- Support the customer base, outwith normal working hours, through participation in 24-hour call-out rota - 1 in 4
- Ensure the maintenance of an appropriate level of spares, consumables and accessories carried in the company vehicle to support the efficient performance of servicing and repairs.
- Control individual expenses within agreed budget levels and to maintain company assets in line with maintenance schedules.
- Ensure that any test equipment is calibrated and tested
Skills/physical requirements for the Field Service Engineer - Fire & Gas Detection :
- Fault finding skills.
- Scheduling of work diary
- Ability to read circuit diagrams and electrical drawings.
- Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Full Driving Licence.
My clients will provide a Van for this role, hours will consist of 35 Hours per week and overtime will be paid for call outs.
