Job description

An exciting new job has arisen for a Environmental, Health and safety Officer, based in Oxfordshire to work for an industry leader in niche positioning in their sector of automotive and special purpose machines agricultural machinery.

The Environmental, Health and safety Officer, located in Oxfordshire will be responsible for coaching and mentoring Senior Management and employees on all aspects of Environmental, Health & Safety issues. Offer hands on guidance, instruction and practical solutions where required thus ensuring ownership of Environmental, Health & Safety matters at all levels.

The Environmental, Health and safety Officer, based in Oxfordshire will have good working knowledge of Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation, have or be studying for NEBOSH and Environmental management certificate, have negotiating skills to convince managers of the need to implement and maintain safety standards that may compromise speed or efficiency in the organisation.

It would be desirable for the Environmental, Health and safety Officer, based in Oxfordshire to have experience of working in a similar role with a manufacturing environment, have obtained environmental qualification (i.E. ISO 14001 qualification / IEMA Foundation certificate or equivalent) and have a membership of IOSH.
