This dynamics organisation seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to join their growing office near Bromley, South London.
As the Engineering Manager you will take specific responsibility for the leadership of the Engineering team in a specific Business Unit, in support of the product development teams and production organisation.

The Key responsibilities of this Engineering Manager job are:

> Manage the engineering resource to meet project and support activities delivery commitments.
> Develop the engineering capability (skills, tools, test equipment) to meet the strategic objectives of the organisation.
> Support the annual budget preparation and NRE sales recovery activity.
> Supervise engineering activities and support the rest of the organisation.
> Undertake the annual staff appraisal process including SMART objective setting and identification of training staff needs.
> Manage new employees through the probation review process.

To apply for this Engineering Manager job you will have a combination of the following skills:

1. Proven experience in a senior technical position within a company strongly involved in electromechanical / electromagnetic components.
2. Proven leadership experience - Experience of resource management (human and equipment/tools).
3. Aerospace, defence industry knowledge or closely related industry.
4. Demonstrated strength in engineering design methods and techniques.
5. Project Management capability.
6. Knowledge of the suite of typical development tests - design validation, qualification, accelerated testing, and stress screening.
7. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and Lean Manufacturing principles.
8. Familiarity with Industry Drafting Standards (BS8888 etc).
9. 3D CAD tool experience, such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid-Edge etc.
