Embedded Software Engineer job - Durham - to £ 40K

An exciting opportunity for a Embedded Software Engineer, with a passion for emerging technologies to join an extremely high calibre team who are developing advanced sensory based robotics.

You would be joining high calibre R&D company, who develop Robotics for a number of industries and applications including complex designs across the entire electronics design chain. The company has received multiple awards from various sources including The Royal Academy of Engineering and Innovate UK and have Alpha partnership status with NXP, giving the Embedded Software Engineer the opportunity to work and develop with technologies up to 18 months exclusive access to these technologies before commercially released.

The position of the Embedded Software Engineer will involve C++ code development, algorithm design and implementation and will give you the opportunity to work with some great, friendly, industry renowned people on some really interesting and complex problems. You really will be learning from the best people in the industry.

Skills that the Embedded Software Engineer job will need -
? C / C++
? Microprocessor programming and integration ( NXP Semiconductors, ARM Core )
? Systems Integration Experience
? Analytical problem-solving skills
? Independent working ability
? Excellent communication skills
? PhD, MEng, BEng in Electronic Engineering or related, PhD preferred
? Debugging / Electronic Test

Desirable but not essential skills the Embedded Software Engineer will need -
? PCB Layout
? Circuit Design
? GUI
? Simulation, Modelling and Validation.
? PLC Logic Controllers
? Full Clean Driving Licence

The ideal candidate should be creative and keen to apply their existing software development skills to an emerging field of technology. They should enjoy improving their skills and working within a friendly and dynamic team
