Are you an experienced Electronics Test Engineer looking for a new role based in Essex?
A well-established R&D organisation that design and manufacture Semiconductor, Mmwave, RF and Microwave equipment and components are recruiting for an Electronics Test Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity as a hands-on role for a self-motivated electronics Engineer with a keen interest in electronics and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will be working as a member of a team responsible for generating the Automatic Test Equipment required for the testing of IC products, testing PCB assemblies and performing reliability testing for new designs.
The responsibilities for this Electronics Test Engineer include:
- Testing PCB assemblies to documented procedures
- Calibration of test equipment to documented procedures
- Maintaining test hardware and fault finding to component level
- Designing test hardware and writing test software for use in production.
The skills/experience needed for this Electronics Test Engineer include:
- Soldering experience and building prototypes
- Understanding of analogue and digital circuits
- Schematic capture and PCB layout, familiar with Altium.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, RF signal generators
- Programming languages - Python, Forth, C, C++, Assembler, Lab View, PXI
