Are you looking for an Electronics Technician job in Ashford?

A market leader in targeting systems are looking for an Electronics Technician - R&D based at their site in Ashford, Kent. They develop and produce a variety of products and services centred on unmanned aerial, ground and surface vehicle targets. Their systems are recognised globally and they have a highly successful track record on a variety of major unmanned vehicle programs.

The Electronics Technician - R&D will be a part of a multi-disciplined team working on continuously developing the company's product range.

Key responsibilities required for the Electronics Technician - R&D job:
> Test and product characterisation using test equipment and software
> Development and set-up of jigs & fixtures, organisation of lab and calibration
> Assembly of circuit boards using techniques such as hand soldering
> Design and prototype manufacture of wiring harnesses
> Interpret and present test results to the team

Key skills required for the Electronics Technician - R&D job:
> Previous use of laboratory electronics test and measurement equipment
> Knowledge of manual and automated electronics assembly processes
> Proficient in mechanical assembly and manual techniques such as hand soldering
> Experience of assembling wiring harnesses would be beneficial

SC level Security Clearance WILL be required for this role, so you MUST have been living in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
