If so, then we have the job for you! Our client is a highly successful technology company with offices all over the world. They design and manufacture a wide range of very hi-tech, complex, Electronic products that are used across dozens of industries.

They are expanding their state-of-the-art R&D facilities in Northamptonshire and required an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to join their team.

They are open to candidates of any experience level but feel this would particularly suit someone at an early stage of their career, who has some commercial experience but is still learning / developing their skill set in electronic design.

In this Electronics Design Engineer role, you will be responsible for the following:
- in a small team to design, procure and maintain custom instrumentation for the test of Electronic devices.
- Contribute to design and document custom electronics hardware to enable test, alignment, calibration, burn-in and other manufacturing stages in a cleanroom environment.
- This is a mix of analogue (source-measure circuits) and digital (control) electronics used to drive and measure the performance of electro-optical components.
- Improving and maintaining existing electronics solutions to ensure new requirements are met without disrupting production schedule and output targets.
- Critical skills include analogue and digital design at schematic level, debugging electronics, firmware and some software.

To apply for this Electronic Design Engineer job, you will need a combination for the following:
- Degree educated in Electronic Engineering, or related subject.
- Theoretical knowledge, and some commercial experience, of analogue and digital circuit design.
- Some hands-on experience in Micro-controllers, firmware and some exposure to FPGAs, would be beneficial.
- Theoretical knowledge and some exposure to mixed signal PCB design (boards with analogue and digital circuits), would be beneficial.
- Electronics debugging skills.

Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate. But you must have a degree and some commercial electronic design experience.

Our client offers competitive salary, fantastic bonus & pension, Private medical, Health cash plan, relocation allowance if appropriate, and other benefits.
