DSP Engineer - 3D Sensors - Cambridge to £ 60K + bonus+ share options - to join a fast growing, well funded 5+ years established 3D Sensor Technology company.

An excellent opportunity for a capable, DSP Engineer with strong C or C++, Python and / or Matlab development experience, to join a fast-growing (currently mid 20's strong) and exciting company that is a leading provider of 3D Sensor IP and technologies to the consumer electronics, automotive and industrial markets.

They are currently working with with Tier 1 OEMs in the computer OEM and Automotive markets, who are in the process of adopting their technologies into their products worldwide.

For this position, they need a DSP Engineer with experience developing and implementing innovative algorithms in a product centric commercial environment. The successful DSP Engineer will be working alongside a team of highly skilled multi-disciplinary engineers. The role is incredibly diverse and interesting, involving all of -


> Algorithm development in Matlab and Numpy

> DSP porting from floating point to fixed point

> Implementing DSP algorithms on SIMD architectures

> DSP implementation on FPGAs and microcontrollers

> Developing automated testing



You will need to be a motivated and self-starting problem solver who has a natural desire to innovate and get the job done, whatever it takes and ideally will have worked in a start-up or small team environment where you have been used to doing exactly that. The company have all the latest tools and software but if you need something else / different it will be provided. A great environment, populated with friendly and sociable people, all pulling in the same direction, to get an exciting product to market !



As a DSP Engineer the key skills and qualities required are:


> A background in commercial DSP development for complex products

> Extensive C or C++, Matlab programming experience

> A strong background in DSP design and implementation

> Experience working with small teams and/or start-ups




The 'nice to haves' include:


> Algorithm development in Matlab and Numpy

> DSP porting from floating point to fixed point

> Implementing DSP algorithms on SIMD architectures

> DSP implementation on FPGAs and microcontrollers

> Developing automated testing
