Are you an multi-skilled Development Engineer with a background or passion in Scientific instrumentation, looking for an opportunity to work with a client whose product is changing the world?

If so, I have the role for you!

An outstanding opportunity for a Development Engineer - Scientific/Physics has arisen with one of my key clients, they are market leaders in vapour technology and gas chromatography, based in London. They specialise in developing and engineering state of the art products which test a wide range of samples based on customer requirements. As market leaders their products are used in a wide range of verticals including Pharmaceutical, Agrichemicals, Fibres, Bio/Natural Materials and more!

The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the development engineering using previous experience to add value and set an example for the existing staff. You will be responsible for producing creative designs whilst achieving the targets and deadlines of the project(s). As this is a broad role, you could be working on anything from running prototypes, checking they work, identifying problems and working out solutions to producing reports, analysing data, fault finding etc.

In order to be a successful applicant for the Development Engineer - Scientific/Physics role, you must have the following:
- A strong education/background in a scientific environment (physics, chemistry etc.)
- The ability to demonstrate broad-based skills in overall development engineering with the skills to execute the designs.
- Experience of CAD systems (such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Proteus, SolidWorks, SolidEdge or CATIA)
- An excellent understanding of general electronics and PCB design skills would be advantageous.
- The mind-set to work in a broad role where your tasks could change on a daily basis.
