  • Job type: Contract
  • Job reference: DWS38730/1
  • Rate: £350 - £400 per day

Job description

You're an expert in the design or delivery of Automation and Control Systems, probably having spent several years involved in detail design, PLC programming or SCADA systems and now looking to sit higher in the supply chain to get a better view of the whole system as Technical Architect.

You'll have the opportunity to work onsite or remotely, but when you are in the office, you'll be in a modern, well thought out environment. The office has a positive and productive feel and you'll be surrounded with industry experts and like-minded professionals in Berkshire.

You're passionate about delivering and architecting exciting projects, whilst relishing the opportunity to represent the client's interests as the key interface, who oversees suppliers from initial design documentation and requirements capture, through to FAT / SAT testing, commissioning and handover.

It's your job to interpret and relay technical information in a clear and concise manner to suppliers and key stakeholders. Being an effective communicator with a natural enthusiasm and proactive nature will help you to scrutinise and improve designs/ test documents.

As technical architect, it's important to be meticulous and have an eye for detail. You will provide design assurance, review test processes and write reports after witnessing tests.

You are the eyes and ears for the client and responsible for each step of the control system development process on projects lasting 2 or more years.

What industry experience do you need to be considered for the contract technical architect?
Preferably material handling, aviation, baggage handling, industrial logistics or automotive - Most importantly, a holistic view of an entire control system.

If this sounds like you, please get in touch for an informal discussion.
