Redline is working alongside a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices. Based in Northampton, our client is looking to find a Contract IT Infrastructure Manager. This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential to extend beyond, for the right candidate.
This role will not accept candidates operating via a PSC; you will therefore need to operate via an Umbrella company.
You will be working in a team environment to support many employees with their IT systems, networking and various other support. You will be required to be onsite 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, to enhance the support for the employees of this business.
As the Contract IT Infrastructure Manager in Northampton, you will have:
- Experience of supporting Linux operating systems within a business environment
- Experience with network design, routing and VLANs
- Able to complete system administration and backup systems
- Good knowledge of IT security practices
- Project implementation and documentation skill
- Beneficial to have SharePoint experience too
Day to Day duties:
- Providing a mixture of preventative support, as well as integration activity around Windows Server and Linux environment, Active Directory, Office365, Azure, VMWare, Cisco Meraki, WAN/LAN and more
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Test and document all changes to Infrastructure, hardware, software, and hosted applications.
- Troubleshoot system problems, resolve issues, and prepare status reviews and reports.
