Job description

Are you an experienced contract buyer / supply chain specialist? Do you have a CIPS qualification.
We would be really keen to talk to you about a a great contract buying opportunity with one of our leading manufacturing clients. This contract buying role includes responsibility for;
Shared responsibility to release daily production orders based on material availability.
Review requisitions, place purchase orders, review exception messages and follow-up and expedite delivery of materials or services as necessary to ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery to meet supplier on delivery goals.

Maintain Material Master Records for assigned materials. Ensure accurate purchase information records and source lists.
Promptly reconcile supplier invoice queries for payment (MRBR & Workflow)
Interact with suppliers to communicate delivery expectations, forecasts, design changes, lead-time management.
Excess & Obsolescence management of allocated commodities

> Drive improvements to achieve OTTR targets
> Manage Inventory reduction programs to achieve DOH target

Proactively facilitate cost reduction opportunities and vendor consolidation programs in line with corporate supply chain strategy.
SIOP- Demand & Supply Chain Planning & Execution, GAP & Forecast Analysis.
We are looking for the following skills;
> Advanced MS Excel knowledge preferred
> Demand Solutions or similar forecasting tools knowledge
> Strong scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
> Good analytical & execution skills
Essential Requirements:

Core Skills:
> Minimum 5 years supply chain management experience
> APICS / MCIPS other relevant qualification
> Knowledge of supply chain process, MRP, MPS, scheduling agreements, consignment programs etc.
> SAP knowledge desirable
