My client is considered one of the leading brands within their sector, they are already recognised for their design, innovation and quality. They have built a really strong presence within their market and have established relationships with a number of large clients. The company’s main product is a hardware and software based solution for the home. It contains cloud based data storage and a front end App combined with a high speed data monitoring and machine learning unit. 

In line with their plans for continued growth, they are now seeking a ‘super star’ and very experienced Chief Executive officer.
We are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer whose remit will be to lead and substantially grow the company, by maximising the performance of the company’s existing revenue streams whilst aggressively building a market leading business. 
This will be achieved by shaping differentiated strategies underpinned by robust plans; successfully developing, launching and fully commercialising new disruptive propositions. In order to deliver this, you will need to provide strong leadership across the business that ensures a relentless focus upon performance and delivery against all key objectives and targets; thus delivering competitive advantage for the company and maximising shareholder return.
This role is ideally suited to an ambitious, highly motivated, entrepreneurial CEO who preferably has an engineering background, has proven successful in a technical production environment and has experience of driving international sales. You will have a proven track record of successfully taking strategic responsibility for one or more consumer brands and taking them to market. The successful candidate will have a high level of commercial acumen, be a decisive leader and have excellent people and distributor management skills.
It is critical that you have successfully shaped and operationalised growth strategies in terms of your company’s proposition, products, profitability and overall value; and as part of this driven a sales and client support culture that has won market share and/or created new markets. 

It would also prove helpful if you have had experience of working with corporate and/or institutional shareholders. Above all though, it will be your approach that is key. You must be strategically minded and commercially aware and capable of delivering fully commercialising propositions, in particular through your leadership of the team. This means that you must possess an energising leadership style that brings the best out of people, teaches a sense of ownership in others and guarantees delivery through strong team performance. Akin to this, you must be a fantastic relationship builder with great communication and influencing skills. Underpinning all of the above will be a focus upon quality, real drive and resilience and unblemished integrity.

Reporting directly to the CEO this Commercial Director position will be accountable for the company's UK and international sales and trade marketing teams setting the strategy, tactics, plans and budgets to deliver profitable and sustainable long-term growth. You will be responsible for growing the brand whilst protecting brand equity and maintaining alignment with marketing and press activities. This role involves UK and International remit with diverse routes to market including direct to retail, sales agent network and distributors. Key responsibilities include developing and motivating a high-performing sales team to deliver exceptional results, managing senior level relationships with key customers and working cross functionally to achieve results.
