Job description

A leading manufacturer of network connectivity solutions has an exciting new job for a Business Development Manager to join with a primary focus on the sales of Fibre network connectivity throughout the North of UK, Scotland, Wales and occasional travel to Northern Europe.

This job opportunity has arisen as part of the business' strategic plan to generate new business sales of fibre connectivity products through demand creation methods. You will be responsible for account management of existing nominated accounts with the objective of growing sales and increasing the number of products sold to the accounts with particular emphasis on new products. You will aim to develop relationships with key stakeholders, in the identified target sectors, raising their awareness of product ranges, specifically for fibre. Target sectors include: Dark Fibre Providers, FTTX Providers, Content Providers with their own networks, Specialist Fibre Installer/Contractors, Specialist Telecomms Consultants and emerging local, including urban and rural FTTX networks. You will ensure that you develop relationships with End Users to ensure that the product offering is known and well understood to ensure that this manufacturers products are included in any subsequent tender process.

In order that you are successful in your application, you should articulate in your CV your previous experience of sales to a relevant customer base, emphasising your success in the development of new business. Whilst technical knowledge of the product range or Fibre Optics would be beneficial, it is not essential therefore sales experience in the right market sectors, would outweigh technical qualifications in a related field.
