My client, a world leader in the development of scientific instrumentation, are looking for a Project Manager based in Southampton, to join their expanding team.

The successful candidate will join the Delivery Team and will manage research and development projects, improvement projects and commercial contracts. 
Working in an applied production/research environment producing devices for commercial sales, the primary responsibility of the role is to ensure efficient delivery of projects to committed timescales and budgets. 

Responsibilities for the Project Manager based in Southampton

•	Working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure delivery of complex scientific projects for both new product development and improvement of existing processes and practices
•	Preparing and submitting funding claims to customers and funding bodies
•	Preparing and presenting information (reports, data and supporting commentary) for Performance reviews
•	Promoting and implementing agile ways of working to improve delivery and efficiency across the company

Knowledge, skills & experience for the Project Manager based in Southampton:

•	Managing the delivery of Scientific projects between £200k and £1M
•	Working throughout the lifecycle of a project from Bid to completion
•	The ability of carry out lessons learned exercises and implement required improvements
•	Ability to deal with changing circumstances and adjust the plan accordingly
•	Comfortable managing risk, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity
