The organisation is seeking a Head of Engineering to join the Bournemouth based team, applying Engineering expertise to lead design solutions, supporting all NPI projects, as well as mentoring junior staff. This is mainly a managerial role which will include some opportunity to be hands on. 

The Responsibilities of the Head of Engineer job Include:
•	Managing and leading the research and development department
•	Support the project managers to deliver projects that are on time and budget 
•	Oversee the execution and delivery of a combination of design and engineering & production activities 
•	Support the companies’ yearly goals to meet the company’s mission 2030 strategy 
•	Continuous improvement of standard engineering departmental processes and procedures 

The Requirements for this Bournemouth based, Head of Engineering job Include:
•	Degree level qualification in mechanical of electrical design
•	Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate, manage and develop teams 
•	Project management experience and training, with a knowledge of structured PM methodologies
•             Experience in using Lean- CI tools and techniques including designs for Six sigma, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, in a manufacturing engineering context.
