My client, a global leader in the Hygiene market, are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in Newhaven.

As the Desktop Support Engineer based in Newhaven, you will provide first line technical support to the group of businesses. You will be responsible for providing desktop support to my clients users, while also maintaining business critical systems across their global network. You will also be responsible for managing traditional IT processes such as user onboarding, offboarding and hardware setup and configuration. Other responsibilities include: 
• Responding to client inquiries.
• Providing technical support to users.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Providing instructions or directly sets up desktop hardware.
• Assisting with installation of computer software and operating system updates.
• Recording logs of rendered support. 

Skills/Abilities for the Desktop Support Engineer based in Newhaven:
• Experience of working with computers and providing customer service in a technological environment. 
• Good working knowledge of MS windows, all desktop and server versions. 
• Hardware and software support. 
• Experience of configuring desk top PCs, laptop, and network printers.
