My client, based in Aylesbury - Bucks, design and manufacture a range of high value capital equipment that is sold all over the world.
Due to expansion they currently require a UK Customer Service - Support Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the management and development of the companies customer service and support function and its integration into, and support for, the companies global service organization. To provide management and leadership to the customer service and support function in respect of achieving the performance goals, performance improvement and financial goals including revenue, margin and inventory. To assist the Global Customer Service Manager in the development of the corporate strategy for the customer support and service function and to ensure that the customer service and support goals provision are timely, cost effective and meets with customer expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all up to date relevant legislation is compiled and that a current body of knowledge for best practice is maintained and applied as appropriate.
Work closely with the regional service and sales teams to ensure seamless customer satisfaction and help in the promotion of growth opportunities via the implementation of a unified after sales and service strategy.
Work closely with production, engineering and R&D to ensure known service issues feedback effectively.
Monitor and review UK service business performance via the establishment of suitable KPI's and take remedial action as required.
Understanding of parts returns process and spares inventory controls.
Manage and maintain customer support spares inventory.
Support establishment of “Technical Centre of Excellence†for the companies products.
Forecast and plan local service financial performance for budgetary and control purposes.
Ensure that adequate business tools are utilized to maximize and optimize resource usage.
Experience Requirements:
Understanding of the management processes required for the practical application of a robust, cost effective and timely service and support provision.
At least 5 years experience in a service role, with at least 2~5 years experience of the management of a customer service function.
Proven success in a similar role.
Experience of managing a customer service function with a large overseas install base - particularly SE Asia, Japan and USA.
